SALES COORDINATOR at COMMERCIALE & INDUSTRIELLE

Job Description:

• Manage sales efforts, including activities of sales representatives, negotiations and sales functions; monitor sales contracts;
• Develop and supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, as well as other local, regional and national promotional opportunities;
• Supervise sales personnel; make recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluations, training, work allocation, and problem resolution;
• Sell to, and maintain contact with major accounts; promote positive relations with outlets, wholesale vendors, jobbers, and other distributors;
• As appropriate to the position, participate in the development of operating goals and objectives for the unit; recommend, implement, and administer methods and procedures to enhance operations;
• Assist in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitor expenditures;
• Analyze and appraise the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results; approve display content and costs for showings requested by sales representatives;
• Respond to inquiries; research and resolve problems related to transactions handled by the unit; serve as liaison with other constituencies in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational issues;
• Function as project leader to develop, communicate, implement and monitor solutions and processes;
• Maintain close communication with management and respond to requests for support;
• Organize, manage, and direct the work of the employees in the assigned function; oversee the assignment of duties and responsibilities to employees; observe and evaluate employees and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service are met;
• Evaluate monthly and quarterly results, and recommend adjustments to plans;
• Monitor the external environment and identify opportunities to fulfill the department’s strategy;
• Participate in the creation of planning models that support the organization’s mission and values based on assessment of internal and external needs;
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget; monitor status of departmental budget; identify budgetary changes in patterns; plan long and short term capital purchases for the department; secure prices on equipment and vehicles for departmental use in preparing budgets ;
• Perform related duties as required, with or without accommodation;
• Execute all other related duties as requested.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or any related field
• Knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, and techniques
• Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and ability to navigate within a variety of Microsoft software packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Good communications skills (listening, verbal and written) in French, Creole and English; Spanish is an advantage
• Ability to manage a staff in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing and managing employees as they work
• Ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
• Skilled in budget preparation and fiscal management
• Ability to make evaluative judgments
• Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
• Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals
• Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions
• Ability to plan, organize and implement a range of sales promotion programs and/or events
• Experience in interacting with senior level management
• Minimum five (5) years of Sales experience, or equivalent; preferably in the same field.
