Chief of party at Chemonics

Job Description:

Chemonics seeks a chief of party for the anticipated USAID-funded Local Enterprise and Value Chain Enhancement project to promote economic growth, increased employment, and workforce development in Haiti. The project aims to facilitate more productive and inclusive value chains for the agriculture, construction, and apparel sectors, targeting Port-au-Prince, Saint-Marc, and Cap-Haïtien. The chief of party will be based in Port-au-Prince and travel throughout Haiti. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities:
• Provide overall leadership, management oversight, and technical direction of project activities and operations
• Provide a strategic long-term programmatic vision in accordance with the objectives of USAID and the Haitian government
• Serve as the key liaison with USAID, the Haitian government, and other partners and stakeholders
• Ensure high-quality performance and integrity standards and compliance with Chemonics and USAID policies and regulations
• Supervise project staff and local subcontractors

Job Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in economics, business, management, international development, public administration, or other relevant field
• Minimum 10 years of senior-level management experience
• Minimum 15 years of experience leading and working on USAID or other donor-funded projects focused on value chains, particularly in agriculture, construction, or apparel; chief of party experience preferred

Demonstrated ability to work with host-country officials, local stakeholders, and other donor-funded projects
• Knowledge of USAID's vision, policies, rules, and regulations
• Experience supervising and managing staff
• Experience working in Haiti or Francophone Africa preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
• Fluency in written and oral English and French required; proficiency in Creole desirable
