Job Description:
The successful candidate must be a person with previous experience in running complex donor funded projects preferably in the education or apparel sector. Also s/he should have strong commercial awareness to transition the center to self-sustainability.
Job Qualifications:
Essential qualifications
• Degree in a relevant subject like accounting, finance or business
• Fluent written and spoken French
• At least 10 years commercial experience at an executive level in a similar role
• Experience in implementing new payroll systems
• Full understanding of Haitian tax and payroll taxes
• Able to prepare a full set of financial statements
• Familiarity with USAID reporting formats and systems
Desirable qualifications
• Familiarity with other national donors
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Knowledge of QuickBooks
• Strong leadership and ability to maintain discipline
• Familiarity with USAID procurement regulations
About CHF International Haiti
The Haiti Apparel Center was founded by the USAID to teach industrial training in sewing, inspection, mechanical, design, pattern making and merchandising in Port au Prince to encourage the regeneration of the Haiti apparel sector.
