Safety Coordinator at BRANA S.A.
Job Description:
This person will serve as a change agent for Safety at BRANA, develop safety programs that will deliver zero injuries and improve safety maturity. He/she will ensure safe procedures are followed on a day-to-day basis at BRANA.
Roles and responsibilities involved but not limited to:
o Ensure BRANA is complying to the local and International environmental and safety legislation
o Define annual environmental and safety goals/ key performance indicators for three (3) years.
o Develop safety and environmental operating procedures and roll them
o Develop and cascade daily tool box talk in BRANA
o Follow up on all accidents/ incidents and near misses. Ensure all incidents, accidents and near misses are investigated, recorded and logged into the accident/incident database.
o Support and follow up to compliance on LSR – Heineken lifesaving rules
o Develop safety program that will deliver zero incidents/ accidents on both process safety and road safety.
o Work closely with BRANA management team during annual planning and strategic planning
o Develop safety capabilities programs for all employees at BRANA
o Support implementation of TPM – Total production management
o Work closely with SHE engineer on environment.
o Manage safety related emergencies with in BRANA
o Manage all road safety activities across in BRANA
o Ensure all BRANA warehouses comply with HEINEKEN standards.
Job Qualifications:
o University graduate with a Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering (Master degree will be an added advantage)
o A minimum of 2 years working experience
o Knowledge of OSHAS 18001 and ISO 14001
o Knowledge of local legislation
o Knowledge in English/French (Spanish will be an added advantage
o Knowledge of MS Office
o Ability To Work Under Pressure And In A Cross-Cultural Environment;
o Excellent and effective communication and interpersonal skills
o Good analytical and coordinating abilities
o Must possess good leadership qualities
o Must be proactive and be able to pay keen attention to the smallest of details
o Ability to work as part of a team
o Must be able to manage time effectively and also meet/beat deadlines
o Any other relevant certification will be a plus.
