Finance Manager at Entreprise de Service

Job Description:

 Develops, recommends and implements accounting and financial reporting process and policy changes.
 Formulates and administers approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations.
 Supervises maintenance of the general ledger.
 Manages production of various financial statements, analyses and management reports.
 Ensures accurate and proper accounting of company resources.
 Supervises the preparation of documents for the review of outside auditors.
 Implements the company's overall accounting policies.
 Participates in the most complex general accounting projects. Supervises a team of 9 employees.
 Coordinate with Human Resources for hiring, coaching, training, and developing
subordinate staff
 Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and managers performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes.
Customer (Internal):
Frequent contacts with senior executives within the company. Expert advisor to peers and internal customers. Collaborates with senior management to deliver strategic business results. Builds collaborative working relationships across groups; evokes loyalty and respect from others.
Establishes and implements business strategies with significant impact on business unit/functional results. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to achieve results would normally result in critical delays in assigned work resulting in substantial expenditure of additional time, human resources, and/or funds.
People Management:
Manages a large number of service, production, or support employees via subordinate supervisors or a team of exempt professional individual contributors and applicable staff inAssociate roles. Primary contribution is managing other people. Ensures performance planning, coaching, and evaluation occurs per policy. Recommends pay adjustments and promotions.
Develops and implements initiatives and processes for business/functional area within overall area of responsibility. Recommends policies, methods, processes, techniques for the business function based on change initiatives; creates/conceptualizes new methods, techniques, and/or processes across job areas or functions. Supervises, coordinates, provides leadership to, and
reviews the work of professional and supervisory level subordinates in order to accomplish operational plans and results. Estimates staffing needs and schedules and assigns work to subordinates and subunits to meet service and budget targets.

Job Qualifications:

Has extensive depth of expertise and knowledge in specialized functions or business areas. A thorough understanding of specific aspects of work supervised and practical application to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories. Viewed as
expert in functional or business area. Deals with cross-cultural tactical issues.
Typically requires BS/BA and 8-10 years experience in related field, including at least 5 years of supervisory or management experience. Professional certification required in some areas. Must be fluent in French, English and Creole.
